E's Journal

Whew! I'm tired. Stake Conference was great! Actually got there ahead of time and got a good seat with friends. Then we had the last of three birthday celebrations at Nana and Poppy's house. DD had a ball and we stuffed our faces with good food. Other than that, we're good at the Holmes house except we're ready for baby #2 to get here:) Five more weeks...just five more weeks. Please send any positive comments, articles, kind words, or anything to uplift my spirits. I'm excited, but ready because being preggo for 2 years is rough on the psyche.

Last night for FHE J and I watched Elder David A. Bednar's talk from the Saturday afternoon session. It was wonderful!!! Sometimes I put pressure on us to have very thorough, detailed scripture sessions or FHEs but his talk made me realize one thing. It's consistency. That's all. When our children grow up their memories will come from how consistent we were with these daily goals and not how detailed or elaborate they were. There has always been something about Elder Bednar that has touched me and I'm not sure what it is. After this talk, though, I'm going to look into other things he has written because I think I'm supposed to get something more from him.

It's DD's birthday! We have had a wonderful day so far. We went on a walk, played with friends, had lunch with Nana and Poppy, and we've been happy, happy, happy! I can't believe it's been a year. I love you Dancin' Diva:)

It's fall yall...ha!

I am sooooo excited that it's October! This is my favorite time of year because I get to put out the fall decor, wear fun fall clothing, it's the start of pumpkin bread, the holidays, my birthday, and J's birthday!!! It's also when I seem to LOVE to have babies. DD will be one this month and her sister is coming in November:) I am too excited! I can't wait for all the great food that comes with the next few months...I LOVE food!
